VDOT’s Toll Relief Program
Are you a Hampton Roads resident? You may qualify!
We just got word from a friend working with ERC & VDOT that they’ve expanded their toll relief program for the Hampton Roads residents who earn less than $50,000 per year and travel the Downtown and Midtown tunnels.
HOW IT WORKS
When a participant travels through the Downtown or Midtown Tunnel with their approved E-ZPass transponder, a 50% discount will be automatically applied for up to 10 passenger vehicle trips per week (Monday-Sunday). ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Individuals must earn $50,000 or less per year.
Must drive a passenger vehicle (Vehicles over 2-axles are not eligible).
Must live in Hampton Roads.+
Must have a Virginia E-ZPass transponder.*
+Includes Chesapeake, Gloucester County, Hampton, Isle of Wight County, James City County, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, York County, Franklin, Surry County and Southampton.
*Upon enrollment, participants will receive a unique code that must be linked to their E-ZPass transponder. Participants can use an existing Virginia E-ZPass transponder, or they can purchase one when they enroll.
